Griffin Industries
The
foundation of Griffin Industries’ renewable energy efforts are in the
company’s pioneering role in the development of biodiesel. Griffin
began producing commercially viable biodiesel in the 1990s before the
U.S. Department of Energy recognized biodiesel as an alternative fuel.
Griffin’s animal fats and recycled greases, as well as plant oils such
as soybean oil, are recycled into quality biodiesel fuel called Bio
G-3000TM Premium Biodiesel Fuel. Our biodiesel operation in Butler, KY
is the longest, continuously producing, flexible feedstock biodiesel
producing facility in the United States. In addition to being a
vertically integrated biodiesel producer, Griffin supplies the primary
feedstock to many commercial biodiesel producers around the country.
Griffin
Industries, Inc. is a certified Accredited Producer. BQ-9000 is a
voluntary program administered by the National Biodiesel Board
ensuring that Griffin Industries' BioG-3000™ Premium Biodiesel Fuel is
consistently produced in accordance with ASTM D6751 specifications.
