JCPS moves 60,000+
students per day both morning and afternoon. We have 850
route buses, plus 200+ spare buses and 42 high school activity buses. We have 13,000
full time employees and that rises to 17,900 when part time is added. We share and
support the Statement of Purpose of the Kentucky Association of Pupil
Transportation (KAPT) - "The goal is to provide safe, efficient,
economical and high-quality transportation for school children on
their trips to and from school and school related activities". We plan to
continue using Biodiesel in the future and will explore higher
percentages if economically feasible. Please note that we will use
over 50,000 gallons of pure Biodiesel with our B2 blend per year! In the News
