NAFTC training_respondersThe National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium (NAFTC) is the only nationwide training consortium dedicated to improving air quality and reducing U.S. dependence on foreign oil by promoting, supporting, and expanding the use of alternative fuels, alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs), and advanced technology vehicles.

This course is designed to educate firefighter instructors on how to safely interact with alternative fuel vehicles involved in a traffic incident. This includes education on the fuels, their properties and origins, how these vehicles differ from conventionally fueled vehicles, and proper, audience specific procedures to implement when dealing with an accident involving alternative fuel vehicles.
