Thorntons Celebrates I-75 Biofuels Corridor

Thorntons E85 ErlangerGreg Crowe, Thorntons and Melissa Howell, KCFC handed out information and gift cards at the Thorntons location in Erlanger, Kentucky. Thorntons has newly designed E85 fuel pumps at the site. E85 sold for $1.99 as part of the I-75 Biofuels corridor celebration that   included Thorntons sites in Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

Speedway E85 Refueling Grand Opening, Elizabethtown

From 4:00 – 6:00 pm – special E85 fuel pricing as well as additional incentives will be featured.

Roush CleanTech Launches Demonstrator Loaner Vehicle Program

ROUSH CleanTech has established a Demonstrator Loaner Vehicle Program. They are providing a propane autogas vehicle for one week for anyone interested. There are a few guidelines for the program, but their goal is have as many people test driving propane autogas vehicles as possible. Ford trucks, vans and chassis cabs to travel across the country visiting potential customers.

How to Request a Vehicle

All requests must be documented and submitted on the Vehicle Request Form to ROUSH CleanTech Marketing at propane@roush.com. Once ROUSH CleanTech receives a completed request form, the requester will be notified of receipt.

Ground Broken for LNG Site in Georgetown Kentucky

Construction has begun at 110 Tri Port Road (photo below) for Kentucky’s first LNG refueling station. The site is part of the America’s Natural Gas Highway project, an initiative by Clean Energy that includes 150 sites nationwide. The location is adjacent to the Pilot retail fueling facility.

A second site has been identified at 4626 Preston Avenue, Louisville as Kentucky’s next LNG site as part of the Clean Energy initiative.

UPS to Expand Natural Gas Footprint

Thirteen new LNG fueling stations to be operational by the end of 2014.

UPS announced today plans to invest approximately $50 million to build an additional nine liquefied natural gas (LNG) fueling stations, bringing the total number of stations to 13. Four were announced in April, and all should be operational by the end of 2014.
