Intro to Renewable Fuels Webinar

Chicago Area Clean Cities Coalition is hosting a webinar about renewable fuels and their emissions-reducing benefits for powering vehicles of all sizes, including passenger vehicles, medium and heavy-duty fleet vehicles. Please join us on Friday, Aug. 6 at 11 AM for a special webinar presentation.

Presenters include:

  • Ted Barnes, Director, Research & Development, GTI
  • Marianne M. Mintz, Energy Systems Analyst, Argonne National Laboratory

Examples of renewable fuels include renewable natural gas (RNG), biofuels (e.g. vegetable oil used as fuel, ethanol, methanol from clean energy and carbon dioxide or biomass, and biodiesel) as well as electricity and hydrogen fuel (when produced with renewable processes). Renewable fuels have gained in popularity due to their health benefits, sustainability, low contributions to the carbon cycle, lower amounts of greenhouse gases, and ROI potential.
